This project involved the full architectural design and complete project management of a one-of-a-kind custom home built on a private Midwest acreage. Starting with a blank site featuring a natural pond and existing shop, the goal was to create a bold, highly customized residence that maximized views, embraced the sloped terrain, and integrated seamlessly into the landscape.

I led the project from concept through construction as both the Architectural Designer and Project Manager, shaping the home around custom angles to capture master-suite views and designing a complex roof system anchored by a prominent gabled entry. Outdoor living was central to the design, featuring a partially covered wraparound upper deck and walkout lower-level patio, fully integrated into the sloped site with limestone landscaping.

Material selection emphasized authenticity and craftsmanship, including custom timber milled from the client’s property for structural deck columns and rebar used for modern railings. I produced all construction drawings, 3D models, and renderings, and managed contractor coordination, scheduling, and MEPs throughout the build. The home is now fully constructed and reflects the full integration of design, technical execution, and construction-phase leadership.
